MP3s of the Future. Is it a need or a want?

Today I was teaching the PET Design course in New York. As usual it was great to see the usability educated streaching and grabbing the new perspective. But an issue came up that was great. Our parents tell us that there are 'needs' and 'wants'. We learn that the 'wants' are not really that important.

Fun with PET

I just finished the second day of the three-day course being taught by Eric Schaffer. It's certainly great fun listening to Eric teach and digging in deeper to understanding what it really takes to understand what might actual persuade someone to do something and how to design for that.
