Hi Suzi. Thanks for the request - it's granted...of course!
What stands out? Out of the four courses, yours was by far the most interesting - to me. Could be your teaching ability and it could be the content. It's likely a combination of both. You definitely hit home with much of what you covered. To date, I'm trying to merge the practices I've learned in class with the model currently existing within NASA. We've done plenty of UT/UCD over the years but it's not been standard practice (aside from 508 type stuff) within an operating model. Right now I'm trying to change that down here @ Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC). It's going to take months, if not years, to get everyone on board. I'm giving a speech up in Annapolis MD next week about the topic. The audience consists of Agency-wide Business Process leads - which provides me with a great opportunity. I'll be covering the basics with an emphasis on ROI. I'll also delve into how it should/could be worked into the everyday business model. Many of the centers incorporate the Agile Scrum methodology and I see this as a perfect opportunity to show how each Sprint can utilize UT - at least when there's a significant development involving a customer-facing feature. I'm still working on the presentation. At the very least I'm aiming to raise awareness.
